04/03/2026Crispy art with naked bodies

A photographer who lives and works in Moscow, captures naked bodies, making, in a way, crispy art! No, it's not a form of art, it's... crispy art. I call it that because the way he lights the body makes it look tight and crispy. Dmitry Plekhanov (you can find him HERE) is a creator who awakens eroticism before he even presses the button. And today we take a look at pieces of his work, to see how his gaze has evolved, without ever losing its identity. From his first shots to his most recent projects, what stands out is his love for color. He's not afraid of strong backgrounds. Walls painted in deep reds, explosive blues, warm oranges. Bed sheets that seem to pulsate under the light. Nature that does not function as decoration but as a co-star. Flowers that embrace bare backs, trees that shade female bodies, petals that touch bare thighs.
Crispy art with nude models
Plekhanov has learned to illuminate the body as if it were a landscape. The curves acquire depth, the breasts become a background and the nipples stand out, irritated and swollen. His nude models work in favor of eroticism and not provocation. Over the years, his eye has become clearer, more targeted. Where in the past he might have experimented more with composition, now he knows exactly where to place the naked body. The body in the center, the color surrounding it, the light gliding over the flesh. The eroticism in his images is not blatant. It is alive. It is present in the model's gaze, in the posture of the body, in the way the light hits the skin. He is not trying to shock. He is trying to highlight. And he does it in a way that makes you stop for a few seconds longer in front of the image. In a space where many chase exaggeration, Dmitry Plekhanov chooses intensity through aesthetics. He has a clear artistic identity, which we could call crispy art.
